Ward camp generally runs just under a week now since the "Parks dept" says that everyone has to be out totally on Thursdays. I wanted to show you some of the facilities of camp.

Getting ready for the ward luau. The luau is held in the "Main Tent." The ward provided chicken, long rice,white rice, and kalua pork. The rest of the ward either brought salads, or dessert.

When I was growing up we used to joke about bringing everything except the kitchen sink. Well, check out this "sink" that comes every year.

Most families put up "easy corners" and then tents underneath. This helps protect the site from wind and rain.

Here's the Main Tent when not occupied. The picnic tables were brought in. There are none in the park normally.

I know lots of you are used to blown up mattresses, but I thought I'd take a picture of one anyway.

Notice the nice hardware. We are grateful to the people who haul this to camp to make life more interesting.

Of course, we have some of the "standard" forms of camp life also, but we use mikes. :-) I hope you enjoyed a little taste of ward camp.
