#5302 2009-09-09 16:21 HST 1.1M 8 Sep 2009 We build our first four raisers for our new deck garden. | #5303 2009-09-09 16:22 HST 6.1M We will put the pots on the raisers. Hopefully this will allow more air circulation for drying. | #5476 2009-10-18 10:20 HST 6.1M When the planter boxes were down on the ground the chickens would get into them and dig them up. Now I have other challenges. :-) | #5477 2009-10-18 03:33 HST 5.9M You can see that in a little over a month our garden has changed quite a bit. |

#5478 2009-10-18 03:33 HST 6.8M It is actually starting to look like a garden. :-) | #5479 2009-10-18 10:20 HST 4.7M I bought a dragon fruit at the store and planted some of it's seeds. It has been growing for several months . It is very slow growing, but cool. | #5480 2009-10-18 03:35 HST 6.2M These are three cucumber plants, Kale, and chives seeds (2 types.) | #5481 2009-10-18 10:21 HST 6.2M We have eaten some of the lettuce and about 3 cherry tomatoes. :-) |

#5486 2009-10-18 04:00 HST 6.4M She is on lettuce seeds. I would say that they are well tampted down. We'll see if they grow. :-) | #5487 2009-10-18 04:01 HST 5.4M Oct 17th we made four new raisers and planted 10 new pots, which include sweet potatoes, rice, wheat, mixed lettuce, and more tomatoes. | #5488 2009-10-18 10:21 HST 5.7M Another view of the front deck. | #5489 2009-10-18 04:01 HST 5.9M Kami came to visit Mika. |

#5490 2009-10-18 04:01 HST 6.4M I guess she doesn't want to play. :-( | #5491 2009-10-18 04:02 HST 6.1M Here's a bag of soil that Lois is using, and you can see the hose and faucet to make watering easier. | #5492 2009-10-18 21:14 HST 4.5M The rice said to put six inches of soil, then two inches of water, then the seed. The seeds will sink down to the soil. Hum... The "soil" floats. Also the pot I tried first leaked out water, so now I've moved it to a larger one that doesn't leak. Obviously I don't have six inches of soil anymore. I need some sinking dirt. :-) | #5999 2009-11-27 22:36 HST 5.6M
