Enjoy!

I thought you might enjoy looking at some of our plants in the yard. Here's an avocado "tree" that I started from seed in a pot on the porch. You can tell it's doing well by the reddish leaves. That's new growth after being transplanted from the pot. It's about 3 feet tall or so.

I wanted to keep kids away from the tree, as my previous four or more attempts have been killed. So Don and I put up a "fence" around it.

The banana clump is sure getting a long neck. It's like a dinosaur. I wonder how long it gets? And I wonder how long before those bananas start to ripen?

You can see how much the avocado tree has grown since June. And the poinsetta is turning. It is a pink variety.
