#1 ◱ Henrietta's chicks are hatching! At 8:45am we noticed two. One is in the desk (as is Henrietta) and one is out.

#2 ◱ The second one is hiding behind the barbells. It chirps pretty loud. You can hear it in the movie clip.

#3 ◱ 9:50am - I notice that Henrietta is out in the yard with chicks. I count three following....

#4 ◱ but wait.... there's one that isn't following very well. She abandoned it and went about 50 feet away.

#5 ◱ That sure looks like a lot of eggs left in the drawer. I wonder how many of those will hatch in the next 24 hours. I guess we'll see.

#6 ◱ Since the chick was still sitting there and momma was long gone I took it upstairs, called a friend and talked about chick/hen behavior. I decided to put it back in the drawer, and hope that momma comes back to get it. We'll see.

#7 ◱ 11:05am Well, Henrietta came back to the desk (it's to the right of the black stack of chairs) and she's clucking away. So she's trying to do her part. :-)

#8 ◱ 12:20pm - Saw Henrietta out in the yard, but didn't see four chicks, only three. So I took a picture in the drawer. The chick isn't in their either, and it looks pretty sick in there. I can't tell if those eggs are in the process of hatching, or chicks that didn't make it out or what. Good News: movie #2, shows the chick trying to follow. So you can see four, still.
