The Rosewold week of 2015-05-31

#1 ◱ German Chocolate Cake that Lois won the auction bid for at a YW/YM fundraiser and served at Isaac's Birthday Party.

#2 ◱ Akiko made Isaac a Lilikoi cheesecake and also got him a Peach Pie.

#13 ◱ We had a Luau at Rosewold. I wanted one last year, but finally got to have it this year. Afterwards, the children enjoyed the noodles.

#14 ◱ Meanwhile a "game" was going on. Not sure all the rules were followed. :-)

#15 ◱ The children enjoyed the many activities that they can get into.

#16 ◱ And the younger ones went off to the playground.

#18 ◱ The adult women hung out on the porch and discussed family life.

#19 ◱ Sadly it became time for everyone to go home.

#21 ◱ We decided to tackle the weeds/blackberry vines along the East Fence. We weeded about 80 feet in length.

#23 ◱ Hanging out by the fire pit during Kekoa/Joseph/Ben's birthday party the next day.

#24 ◱ Joseph cooked ribs, burgers, and hot dogs.

#25 ◱ Later we did s'mores and Akiko showed us how to do it right.

#26 ◱ Ben got a key chain tape measure for a present. It was very useful.

#27 ◱ The grandkids enjoyed the bubble machine.

#28 ◱ We just hung around and talked after Joseph and Akiko used the brush cutter.

#30 ◱ Turkey Vulture flying over Rosewold. You can see some of the brush cut areas. I am sure all the birds of prey are happy. :-)

#32 ◱ Last year I had tons of poppies at Rosewold. This year there is an occasional one.

#33 ◱ Three roads diverged in a yellow field, And happy I did yet travel all, And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; .... I took the ones all traveled by, And that has made all the difference. sorry Robert Frost. :-)
