| I decided to make a barbecued chicken with breadfruit. Here's the breadfruit tree. For the recipe I'll be using 2 large breadfruit, about 12 ounces of barbecue sauce with about 2 cups of water, 1 pound bacon, about a cup of cooked onions, 6 pounds of chicken tenderloins, and salt to taste. | This is what breadfruit looks like hanging on the tree. You want the big ones with white sap dripping down the sides. This one is getting closer, but not ready yet. | Here is one that I did bring in and cook. | Here's one in the microwave. I put it straight onto a corelle plate and microwave it for 14 or more minutes depending on the size. |

| Here's what the breadfruit looks like after it's cooked and cut open. I take out that "core" part and the peelings. | I was tired, so I peeled a lot off. :-) | Then I chop it small. These are kind of large "tidbit" size. | I made up a bbq sauce with water and a bottle of a kind of sauce I like. Breadfruit acts like a sponge, so that's why I made it runny. |

| Here's a close up of some of the breadfruit and the bbq sauce. | I decided to put bacon in this recipe also. Who doesn't like bacon? | When the bacon was cooked I put it into the pan with breadfruit and bbq sauce. | I cut up chicken tenderloins and added fried onions. |

| When everything was cooked I combined it into my pan. I can't say it's all that pretty, and maybe it needs more bbq sauce. But I thought it was pretty good for a first try. I may buy more bbq sauce at the store when I go. :-) | | | |
