How To Book Your Sitting Time:

Sitting times are assigned on a first-come basis. Times start every five minutes and last for five or ten minutes depending on the number of people in your group and the ages of the children.

To request a time, send an email to Lois Colton <loiscolton@gmail.com>.

Tell her your name.

Tell her which of these time blocks would work for you.

4:30 to 5:00
5:00 to 5:30
5:30 to 6:00
6:00 to 6:30

Tell her how many children will be in the pictures, and their ages.

Tell her how many adults will be in the pictures.

Lois will email you a specific time slot among the times you listed, or tell you that no slots were left.

Where: Where is this happening?

The BYUH TVA LLRC (Family Living and Learning Resource Center). That's the room next door to the TVA offices.

Why: Why Are You Doing This?

We were once poor starving students ourselves, and we love to help where we can. We hope this service will be beneficial as you create your own family story.

Make-Up

We will provide a mirror (10 inch by 13 inch) you can use to check your appearance.

You must provide your own hair brushes, combs, and make-up, if any.

We will be using a tall, wide, black backdrop for all photos.

How Do I Get My Pictures?

After the sittings, Lois will send you an email when your photos are ready to be picked up. You must bring a USB thumb drive or a camera SD card. She will copy your pictures onto your media.

We can write to USB devices such as thumb drives. We can write to SD cards and Micro SD cards. We may be able to email images to you.

Where can I print my photos?

Foodland, Walmart, and Costco are all places that have photo printing.

What is a Print Release?

When printing your photographs, some photo printing services will ask you for a print release from the photographer. This is because photographers own the rights to the photos they take. Commonly photographers sell prints but not digital photographs or negatives.

For this free event, we give you the digital photographs and a signed Release giving you rights to make prints and to share the pictures on social media websites or by email.
